When a family walked all the way to school to inform us we should give their Thanksgiving dinner to another fmaily as their utilites has been turned off. Many of our WBC members (and their children) gave cash out of their pockets to ensure this family had a happy Thanksgiving.

Christmas in July - I bonded with one kid in particular. He was afriad of the rides so we stayed together when the other kids went on those rides. We shared the experience of him winning a stuffed animal. At the end of the day I looked for him to say goodbye. Then I felt something tugging at my leg. It was my little friend giving my leg a big bear hug. A very memorable moment for me.
